What can you trade-in?

How does it work?

Online:

  • While the Starlink Qatar website doesn't currently offer direct trade-in quotes, you can initiate the process online and finalize it in-store. Here's how:
    • Browse Starlink's online selection and choose your desired new device.
    • Look for a "Trade-In Estimate" option on the product page or checkout process (if available). This might provide a preliminary range based on the device model.
    • To get a more accurate quote, contact Starlink customer service through their website chat or phone number. They can guide you through the process and provide an initial estimate based on your device's details.

In-Store:

  • Visit any Starlink store in Qatar with your old device and its accessories (charger, case, etc.).
  • A Starlink representative will assess the condition of your device and provide a final trade-in value based on factors like age, functionality, and cosmetic condition.

Important Points to Remember:

  • Maximum Trade-In: You can trade in up to three devices per customer within a one-month period.
  • Trade-In Value: The trade-in value you receive will be used as a discount towards the purchase of a new device at Starlink. The new device must be equal to or higher in value than the trade-in voucher.
  • Official Quote: The online Trade-in Self-Assessment (if available) or any preliminary estimates are not final quotes. A Starlink representative will provide the official trade-in value after examining your device in person.
  • Device Condition: The trade-in value will depend on the overall condition of your device, including its age, functionality, and any cosmetic damage. Having all original accessories can also increase the trade-in value.
  • Data Back-Up and Wipes: It's crucial to back up your data and then completely erase it from your device before trade-in. Starlink is not responsible for any data loss.
  • Customer Information: To complete the trade-in process, Starlink will require your name, email address, phone number, and national ID/residence number. Completing the trade-in signifies your consent to providing this information.
  • Cancellation and Returns: You can cancel the trade-in process before it's finalized. However, once completed, the transaction becomes final, and the old device cannot be returned. Standard Starlink return policies apply to the new device you purchase.
  • Voucher Use: The trade-in voucher must be used on the same day it's issued and at the same Starlink location. Expired vouchers cannot be redeemed. You can reclaim your old device if the trade-in process is not completed.
  • Ownership Transfer: Upon completion of the trade-in, ownership of the device (including accessories and any data) transfers to Starlink.
